Nut allergy is one of the most common food allergies worldwide. The immune system mistakenly identifies nut proteins as harmful, leading to histamine release and various symptoms: skin itching, lip swelling, oral allergy syndrome, contact dermatitis, throat tightness, tearing, conjunctivitis, asthma exacerbation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, cough, and wheezing. Symptoms may appear immediately or within a day and can sometimes be life-threatening, making timely diagnosis and allergy management essential.
