rVes v1 is a recombinant protein without CCD, which is one of the main allergenic components of wasp venom (Ves v1). It is known as phospholipase A1 (PLA1), a 37 kDa protein that plays an important role in diagnosing allergic reactions to hymenoptera venom. This molecular allergen is part of a complex mixture of biologically active compounds containing amines, peptides, enzymes, and toxins that can cause various allergic and toxic reactions in the body.

Ves v1 is a key allergenic component of wasp venom that triggers IgE-mediated allergic reactions, including large local and systemic hypersensitivity reactions, which can be life-threatening. This protein is a phospholipase that hydrolyzes triglycerides and has high cross-reactivity with allergens from other vespids, such as hornets and yellow jackets. Measuring Ves v1 levels helps accurately diagnose allergy, assess the risk of complications, and select effective treatment.

  • Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
  • Drinking plain still water is allowed.
  • Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
