rDer p2 – allergen component of the house dust mite Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, one of the most active house dust allergens. This mite lives in beds and bedding, feeds on skin flakes, and can cause allergic reactions of varying severity. It is found on the skin, in urine, sputum, and lungs of patients.

Der p2 is one of the main allergen components of house dust mites, with a prevalence of 80-100% among sensitized patients. Exposure to Der p2 increases the risk of allergic symptoms in various organs, especially asthmatic reactions. This allergen has high cross-reactivity with Der f2 (Dermatophagoides farinae) and other allergen groups, which is important for accurate diagnosis and allergy treatment. Der p2 contributes to inflammatory processes and respiratory tract damage by triggering immune responses and increasing hyperreactivity.

  • Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
  • Drinking plain still water is allowed.
  • Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
  • For children under 1 year – no food 30-40 minutes before the test; for children 1-5 years – 2-3 hours fasting.
