Rabbit meat (f213)0535
A dietary product that is well absorbed and contains iron, B vitamins, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium salts, and other minerals. The human body can absorb rabbit meat up to 90%, while beef is absorbed only up to 62%.
Rabbit serum albumin rarely participates in binding with specific circulating IgE and in SPT responses. Data on cross-reactivity between meats of different animal species are useful for improving basic knowledge about meat allergy and may help address dietary and clinical issues in children with atopy. There are known cases of anaphylaxis caused by IgE-mediated reactions to rabbit serum proteins, highlighting the importance of this test for patient safety.
