Plantain (Plantago) – a genus of annual and perennial herbs common in Ukraine. Plantain pollen is a potent allergen that causes allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Determining IgG to plantain helps assess the level of sensitization and the risk of developing allergies.

Plantain pollen is present in the air of Ukraine from May to October, causing allergic reactions in sensitive patients. Detection of IgG antibodies to plantain helps identify sensitization, aiding in the diagnosis of allergic rhinitis, asthma, and other allergic manifestations. The test also allows monitoring therapy effectiveness and avoiding cross-reactions with other allergens.

  • Diagnosis of allergic reactions to plantain.
  • Assessment of sensitization level and risk of allergy development.
  • Monitoring therapy effectiveness.
  • Assessment of sensitization level after allergen avoidance.
  • Evaluation of immune system status.

FEIA (Fluorescence Enzyme Immunoassay) – a fluorescent enzyme immunoassay that provides quantitative determination of IgG antibodies to plantain.

Please note that the research method and reference values may vary depending on the equipment and test systems used.
