Description

Oranges are popular citrus fruits with orange peel and juicy segments. They are grown in warm climate regions and are an important food product rich in vitamin C, flavonoids, thiamine, folate, and pectin. They are used both fresh and in the food industry, cosmetics, and medicine. The main allergenic components of orange include Cit s1, Cit s2, Cit s3, Cit s IFR, which can cause cross-allergic reactions with other products.

Indications

Diagnosis of allergic reactions to orange.
Assessment of sensitization level and risk of allergy development.
Monitoring therapy effectiveness.
Assessment of sensitization level after allergen avoidance.
Evaluation of immune system status.

Preparation

Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
Drinking plain still water is allowed.
Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
For children under 1 year – no food 30-40 minutes before the test; for children 1-5 years – 2-3 hours fasting.
