rCan f3 – a dog allergen component, serum albumin found in the animal's fur, hair, epithelium, and saliva, as well as in household dust.

The Can f3 allergen component is serum albumin that causes sensitization associated with an increased risk of asthma, allergic rhinitis, and their combinations. This allergen has high cross-reactivity with serum albumins of other mammals, complicating diagnosis and treatment. Its role in polysensitization and sensitization of atopic individuals is important. Even without direct contact with a dog, the allergen can cause reactions due to its presence in public places.

  • Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
  • Only plain still water is allowed to drink.
  • Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
  • Children under 1 year – no food 30-40 minutes before the test; for children 1-5 years – 2-3 hours fasting.
