The molecular panel "Trees No. 2" includes the study of specific IgE to the main allergenic components of birch (Betula verrucosa). These proteins are key markers of sensitization to birch pollen and help differentiate true allergy from cross-reactions with other allergens.

This panel includes the following allergenic components: rBet v1 Birch (t215), rBet v2 Birch (t216), rBet v4 Birch (t220), rBet v6 Birch (t225).

Bet v1 – the main allergenic component of birch pollen, responsible for 95% of sensitization. Associated with allergic rhinitis and asthma, it is a predictor of allergy to Fagales tree pollen and oral allergy syndrome.
Bet v2 – profilin protein, a minor allergenic component with high cross-reactivity to pollen from grasses, trees, and some plant foods.
Bet v4 – polcalcin, a minor allergenic component associated with reactions to pollen from various plants, important for diagnosing polysensitization.
Bet v6 – isoflavone reductase protein, associated with various allergic reactions including respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms, with cross-reactivity to pollen from other trees and plant foods.

  • Diagnosis of allergic diseases: bronchial asthma, pollinosis, atopic dermatitis.
  • Differential diagnosis of birch pollen allergy and cross-reactivity.
  • Selection of patients for allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of ASIT.

FEIA (Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay, ImmunoCAP) – quantitative determination of specific IgE on a solid phase using immunofluorescence.

Please note that the research method and reference values may vary depending on the equipment and test systems used.

  • Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
  • Drinking plain still water is allowed.
  • Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
  • For children under 1 year – do not feed 30-40 minutes before the test; for children 1-5 years – 2-3 hours fasting.
