The molecular panel "Trees No.1" includes the determination of specific IgE to the main allergenic components of birch pollen (Betula verrucosa). These markers allow for accurate diagnosis of birch sensitization, differentiation from cross-reactions, and monitoring the effectiveness of allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).
This panel includes the following allergenic components: rBet v1 Downy/Warty Birch (t215), rBet v2, rBet v4 Downy/Warty Birch (t221).
Bet v1 – the main allergenic component of birch pollen, reacting in up to 95% of sensitive patients. Sensitization to Bet v1 is associated with allergic rhinitis and asthma and is an indication for allergen-specific immunotherapy.
Bet v2 (profilin) – a minor allergenic component with high cross-reactivity to pollen of other plants and food products (apple, celery, cherry, etc.). Detection of this marker helps identify polysensitization and adjust therapy.
Bet v4 (polcalcin) – a minor molecular allergen with high cross-reactivity, serving as a predictor of polysensitization to pollen from various plants. Determining Bet v4 is important for diagnosis and treatment of patients with multiple allergic symptoms.
FEIA (Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay), ImmunoCAP (Solid-phase Immunofluorescence) – quantitative determination of specific IgE.
