Leukotrienes are a family of eicosanoid inflammatory mediators produced in leukocytes through the oxidation of arachidonic acid (AA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) by the enzyme arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase. These bioactive lipids play a key role in the body's inflammatory and immune responses.

Leukotrienes are important signaling molecules that regulate inflammatory and immune processes in the body. They are involved in the development of many diseases such as asthma, allergic reactions, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic lung diseases, and others. Measuring leukotriene levels aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of these conditions.

  • Diagnosis of bronchial asthma.
  • Diagnosis of allergic rhinitis.
  • Diagnosis of atopic dermatitis.
  • Diagnosis of allergic conjunctivitis.
  • Diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
  • Diagnosis of obliterative bronchiolitis after lung transplantation.
  • Diagnosis of interstitial lung diseases.

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Please note that the research method and reference values may vary depending on the equipment and test systems used.
