FEIA (Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay), ImmunoCAP (Solid-phase Immunofluorescence) – quantitative determination of sensitization level.

  • Diagnosis of allergic reactions.
  • Assessment of sensitization level and risk of allergy development.
  • Monitoring therapy effectiveness.
  • Evaluation of sensitization level after allergen avoidance.
  • Assessment of immune system status.

  • Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
  • Drinking plain still water is allowed.
  • Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.

Acarus siro is one of the main storage mites causing allergic reactions, including contact dermatitis, rhinitis-conjunctivitis, and asthma. It is found in grain products, meat, legumes, dried fruits, cheeses, as well as in the home environment (upholstered furniture, mattresses, pet beds). Cross-allergic reactivity with house dust mites is known. Sensitization to Acarus siro is an occupational hazard for agricultural workers and bakers but can also occur in the general population without occupational exposure.
