Investigation of allergic sensitization to a fish mix. The test allows determination of the level of specific IgE antibodies to the main types of fish, which is important for diagnosing and monitoring allergic reactions.
This test includes the following allergens: f3 cod, f205 herring, f206 mackerel, f254 flounder.
Cod allergen contains parvalbumin (Gad c1) – the main allergenic component, heat-stable, causing cross-reactions with other fish species. Herring contains Clu h1 – an allergenic component with high IgE reactivity, which also cross-reacts with other fish of the Clupeiformes order. Mackerel is the second most significant fish allergen, with high clinical sensitivity and specificity. Flounder is characterized by high allergenic activity and can cause symptoms of bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, and systemic reactions. Cross-allergy between different fish species is possible, which is important to consider in diagnosis and treatment.
FEIA (Fluorescence Enzyme Immunoassay, ImmunoCAP (Solid-phase Immunofluorescence)) – quantitative determination.
