The molecular panel "Dog Allergen Components" includes testing for specific IgE to four main molecular allergens found in dog saliva, hair, and dander. The analysis helps identify true sensitization and differentiate it from cross-reactivity.

This panel includes the following allergen components: rCan f1 Dog (e101, lipocalin), rCan f2 Dog (e102, lipocalin), rCan f3 Dog (e221, serum albumin), rCan f5 Dog (e226, arginine esterase, kallikrein).

Can f1 – the main lipocalin allergen found in dog saliva and hair, responsible for most allergic reactions. Sensitization to it is associated with the severity of asthma symptoms.
Can f2 – lipocalin, a less common molecular allergen associated with severe asthma. Patients reacting to Can f2 also react to Can f1.
Can f3 – serum albumin, which has high cross-reactivity with albumins of other mammals. Associated with the risk of asthma and allergic rhinitis.
Can f5 – prostatic kallikrein, characteristic of intact male dogs. Sensitization to Can f5 may cause specific symptoms and affect reproductive health.

  • Diagnosis of allergic diseases related to domestic animals.
  • Differential diagnosis of allergy causes.
  • Selection of patients for allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of ASIT.

FEIA (Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay, ImmunoCAP) – quantitative determination of specific IgE.

Please note that the research method and reference values may vary depending on the equipment and test systems used.

  • Blood should be drawn in the morning on an empty stomach or 4 hours after eating.
  • Drinking plain still water is allowed.
  • Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
  • For children under 1 year – refrain from food for 30-40 minutes before the test; for children 1-5 years – 2-3 hours.
